Downtown Crabapple now has two outdoor lawns for this year's fall and holiday season. The newer one opened in August at the eastern end of Market District Crabapple, across from Hyde Brewing. The established one is the Green at Crabapple Market. From now through mid-December, the downtown calendar moves among those two lawns and Broadwell Pavilion, and several evenings use more than one of them.
The practical result is that the season's best outings involve walking between places. Here is where each event lands, along with the plans that remain undecided.
The new lawn on Heritage Walk
The City of Milton announced the new space on Aug. 6. It sits along the eastern side of Heritage Walk, inside the same development that already holds restaurants, beverage stops, offices and a yoga studio. It opened with the All Nashville Roadshow, a country concert that had played the same spot the summer before. Appen Media reported that the Aug. 7 lineup included Charlie Argo, SLAW, Summerlyn Powers, Gloria Anderson, The Woods and Meagan Allen.
Mayor Peyton Jamison described the space in the City's announcement as "another welcoming place for people to gather, connect and enjoy all that Crabapple has to offer."
The Milton Farmers Market was the first regular use the City confirmed for the lawn. According to Appen Media's season preview, the 2026 market ran from 4 to 7 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month through October. Market manager Renée Rivers said she hoped to add more produce and agricultural vendors this year. October's third Wednesday fell on Oct. 21, which made it the last market date on the 2026 schedule. The market posts updates on Instagram at @miltongafarmers.
With the market finished for the year, the new lawn's next confirmed role is shared with the other green.

The Market District names come from the development's own site, which features Hyde Brewing, Vice Steak Bar and Smash Burgers by Vice and shows recent posts from Suite 200 Grille and Yum Thai. The Crabapple Market names come from its dining and shopping directories. The Nest Café says it is open seven days a week. The same dining directory describes MilkShake Factory, B&B Tavern Crabapple and a second Lily Sushi Bar location in future-tense language, so call ahead before planning a meal around any of them.
Wanderlust is the event that uses both
The Wanderlust Food Truck Fest shows the two-green layout most clearly. The free series began Oct. 15. Each edition runs 4 to 8 p.m. and brings more than a dozen trucks, with the lineup rotating from date to date. The trucks are split between two lots. One group parks in the Market District Crabapple parking lot, where the live music is. The other sets up on the gravel area behind Crabapple Market, near the cornhole on the Green.
The City's event listing and Appen Media's coverage assign the "East Side" and "West Side" labels to opposite lots. The live music and the cornhole are the reliable way to tell the two apart.
With trucks at both ends, the event spans both developments. A full Wanderlust evening means sampling at one lot, walking to the other and finishing wherever the music or the cornhole holds your group. Admission is free and you pay each vendor for what you order, so you can split dinner between the two lots without extra cost. Four dates remain: Oct. 29, Nov. 12, Dec. 3 and Dec. 10.
Saturday, Oct. 24 starts on one green and finishes at the pavilion
This Saturday is the first chance to try the route. Crabapple Market's Halloween Costume Contest & Trick-or-Treating runs from 1 to 4 p.m. on the Green at Crabapple Market. At 4 p.m., the City's Carvin' in Crabapple begins at Broadwell Pavilion, 12615 Broadwell Road, and runs until 7. Milton Police host a Trunk-or-Treat across the street.
One event ends as the other begins, so a family in costume can spend the whole afternoon downtown. Go from trick-or-treating on the Green to Carvin' at the pavilion, then stay for the Trunk-or-Treat as it gets dark.

Christmas in Crabapple is new this year in one way. In partnership with Kids Markets, the City is adding a Kids Market for ages 5 to 17. The City opened registration in a Sept. 4 announcement.
The two Music Milton concerts and the two City breakfasts take place away from either green. They give the season some indoor and morning events alongside the outdoor evenings.
What's still undecided for the new lawn
The City's August announcement was candid that most of the new space's future "hasn't all been finalized." Market District was "looking into" an outdoor skating rink starting in November. Appen Media described officials as "planning" the rink. Neither source names an operator, opening date, hours or prices. November is two weeks away, so treat the rink as possible but unconfirmed. The Market District Crabapple Instagram is the account the City pointed residents to for updates.
The longer-term plans for the lawn are more definite. The City says a permanent stage is planned, with an office building that is in the works and extensive landscaping between the stage and nearby residences. Market District also hopes to bring back the monthly Crabapple Live mini-festival, co-sponsored by the City, next spring and summer. A rink would give the new green its first event of its own this winter. For now, its fall season is the Wanderlust lot on four Thursdays, along with Hyde Brewing across the walk.
This season, a stroll from one lawn to the next can fill an evening without a drive across town.
